The stories of the people who dare to live on their own terms inspire me in my practice. I combine photo/videography, art direction, and my background in fashion into my work. I submerge into subcultures and bring those trends and lifestyles to a wider audience. I extract the essence of avant-garde artists with an anthropological approach and visualize it into (moving) images, branding concepts, and fashion ideas.

I obtained a BA in Fashion & Design at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) and hold a MA in Cultural Economics & Entrepreneurship from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

My international mindset has taken me around the world. In Paris I worked for the designer Gaspard Yurkievich, in New York with stylist Tom van Dorpe at V Magazine and the trend forecaster Ellen Sideri at ESP Trendlab. In the Netherlands I worked as a documentary photographer for Vice, art director for Nachtlab Agency, and curated an exhibition for Museumnacht Amsterdam at Sexyland World.

Next to my work I find it important to give back to society. Therefore, I have been part of the board of Native for 6 years, a foundation which supports photojournalists from under-represented regions by collaborating with parties such as Vogue, World Press Photo and Visura.
